LOVE OR CRUSH

Hey guys!

How are you doing?

Good, I hope

So this week I'm bringing another topic that is not a tips or advice. This is more of relationship talk (even though I have never been in a relationship, as you all already know).

Nevertheless, we all have experienced this whether we are, we were or never been in a relationship.

So today I will share with you guys how to kind of differentiates whether you love that person or it's just a crush.

First!

Here's the meaning of Love and Crush

LOVE means to be deeply committed and connected to someone or something. The basic meaning of love is to feel more than liking towards someone. Love truly sees and accepts their object of affection. Love is an intense feeling of deep affection. Love is patient, love is understanding, and love is forgiving.

"Love means never having to say you're sorry" - It's from a movie #iykyk

However, this definition might defer from one person to the other.

CRUSH is defined as a brief but intense infatuation for someone, especially someone inappropriate or unattainable.

And also, crush usually last for about 4 months.

That's the major difference that you can see.

So, check your calendar! LOL

And here are a few differences between Love and Crush:

1. Crush may feel insecure but love derive from trust.

2. Crush is short-lived.

- Like I wrote above, usually last for 4 months.

3. A crush focuses on appearance.

4. Love see more than just the appearance but also the insight.

5. A crush can fade away when there's difficulties or something bad happen.

6. Love puts more focus on being who you are.

7. Love is steady and more balanced.

So there you go. Hope this super short post helps you clarify whether you are crushing on someone or actually falling in love.

I will post again next week with a different topic and hopefully a longer post LOL.

Until then, see you!

BROKEN PROMISES

Hey guys,

Feels like ages since the last time I post anything here. It's not that I forgot about this blog or that I refused to write anything. It is because I was too caught up with broadcasting and kinda put all my focus there. And also because I don't know what to write.

But now I'm back! Hopefully with more new posts and new content.

Anyway, I'm just going to jump into this topic.

So, as you guys see, the title is BROKEN PROMISES, so that's what I'll write about.

Just a little disclaimer, most of the things that I will write below are my opinion and some definition and quotes that I found online. This is not specify to certain people or certain occasion.

Hope you guys enjoy reading it! :)

What is a promise? - A promise is a commitment by someone to do or not do something. As a noun promise means a declaration assuring that one will or will not do something. As a verb it means to commit oneself by a promise to do or give.

And that's the formal definition.

For me personally, a promise is when someone said they want to do something that causes you to put your hopes on.

However, as I grew older, I feel like I put less and less hope on what people say. But sometimes you can't really help yourself from putting hopes on someone. I think it's pretty sad that we have to constantly telling ourselves to not take it serious when people say they want to do something, especially something for you or with you because they might not do it or in this topic, they might break it.

Here are some quotes I found:

- "Promises are worse than lies. Cause you make others hope, hope for something that you're not sure you can give."

- "Hope is a dangerous game."

When someone breaks a promise, what happens then?

I've discussed this with some of my friends and acquaintances. It's shocking and again, sad, to know that the common thing we do when someone breaks a promise they made to us is we just keep it to ourselves and move on. Like we swallow the pain, the frustration, the disappointment and just go on with our life though deep down we are still hurting.

Why? Why do we choose to do that? I have came across a few reasons and some of them are, we take it as not a big deal because the other person makes it not a big deal. We worried we're just being dramatic. We worried if we let that person know that we are disappointed, that person might get hurt and do something worse. We want to give that other person some more chances. We believed that the person will make it up because they care.

I hate to break it to you, but if that person breaks the promise on purpose, that means they never care in the first place. So stop trying to wait for them to make it up.

Some people said that I am being negative for thinking that way or for not putting hopes on people, but the truth is, I'm just tired of being disappointed.

- "You were disappointed because you were expecting, but we were expecting because they made a promise"

Or in my case sometimes because they gave me hope, they made me hope.

I think at some point or at certain times, we have to let that person knows that they broke a promise, that they disappointed us and it hurts us. However, be mature and rational when telling them, do not try to attack them, let us be the calm one. I have done that. And I can tell you, some of them might respond in a way you never thought of. I am not telling you this to scare you but simply to let you be prepare for the outcome. Some people you know as kind and sweet, might not be as they seem. I have people that told me to deal with it, be a man and move on, don't make a big deal of it, etc. And guys, those came out from the people who broke the promise. And it breaks my heart. But I don't regret doing what I did because at least I have told them how I feel and maybe, just maybe, they will not break their promise again.

- "Never promise more than you can perform."

- "Don't make so many promises when you can't even keep one."

"In a world where vows are worthless. Where making a pledge means nothing. Where promises are made to be broken, it would be nice to see words come back into power."

Let's do this, let's bring power back to words. Let's put value in our promises. Don't make promise if you feel like you can't keep them. And if someone breaks a promise and it hurts you, tell them, let them know.

So, that's all for this week. I will try to post as often as I could on every Wednesday...yes, I'm switching my posting schedule to Wednesday because I have too many things to do on Saturday with the broadcast and all 😁

WHATEVER YOU'RE FEELING, IT'S OKAY.

Hey guys,

How are you?

I really hope you guys are feeling well during this quarantine.

This week I'm writing something simple but come straight from me. Not from any research or any references. You guys might have the same opinion and agree with me or you guys might not. Anyway, I'm still going to share this with you all.

So, here it goes....

From time to time we often feel down or angry or disappointed or even happy or joy or giddy. All of that feelings are valid. Whatever you're feeling is valid. So it's okay to feel all that. You shouldn't feel bad for it, especially if you're feeling good.

I will not enlightened so much on the good and positive feelings. I want to write more about the negative feelings or the sad side.

Some people might say:

"You shouldn't feel that way."

"You need to stop feeling like that"

"You should not tell people of your negative feelings."

"Don't talk about your sadness, it will only bring everyone's mood down."

What you need to do is to NOT listen to those people who says all that. You have the right to feel that way. What you need to do is to LISTEN to yourself and let yourself feel whatever you're feeling. BUT don't let it consume you.

And it's okay to share what you're feeling especially to those who care. I understand that there are people who you thought would care but they actually don't. But you also have to realize that there are people who said they care and they actually do care. Which is, to be honest, pretty rare...but possible. You just got to know them better and actually give them the chance.

So what I want to say is, if you feel sad and wanna cry, you cry. If you're angry, get angry. Let it out because the longer you hold it back and keep it deep inside, the stronger it will be. And if you feel like whatever you're feeling is too much for you to handle yourself, share it. Tell someone about it. There are people who would listen. If you don't have that person, you can share it with me. One of the thing that I can genuinely say is, it sucks sometimes to not have someone who would say "I'm here for you." "I'll stand by you." "I'll listen to you."

That's all I wanna share for this week. I'm sorry if it's a little bit serious than it usually is. It's just that I really want to write something like this so people know that it's okay to feel sad or happy. And that your feelings are valid. Let yourself feel whatever you're feeling, just not let it take over yourself.

Have a good day/night guys. I'll write again next week with a different topic. :)

1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY ON YOUNOW!

Hey guys!

How are you?

I gotta be honest, this is going to be a short post because I don't want to get emotional and write a long axx speech.

So, as some of you might already know that I am broadcasting on a platform named YOUNOW. I started broadcasting on the platform last year just out of the blue. Well, mostly because I was unemployed and bored...hahaha..

And today (25th of April 2020) marked 1 year of me on Younow. I honestly can't believe how fast time flies.

I can still remember my first few days on there, broadcasting with my bad laptop and my stream was such a low quality (it's still kinda is :P) . And there was no one watching me. I was just sitting there by myself, talking to myself...LOL.

However, all of that have changed. Now I have more than 600 fans and have received over 200k likes (some of you might not understand what I'm talking about - basically fans means followers and likes means....likes).

So I'm taking this time to thank all of the people who have been so supportive and has been supporting my through the entire time. And thank you to some of the big broadcasters on the platform who have given so much advise and help to improve myself and my stream. I have learned a lot and have made a bunch of new friends and acquaintances.

Little do you know that I had almost wanted to give up broadcasting because I didn't have any viewers and it was seems like I'm not making any progress, but all of that changes when I started to have loyal viewers who came back to my every streams and interacting with me.

I could list all those people but then it will ruin my main purpose to keep this post short.

So, that's all I wanted to let you guys know. For you all who don't know what Younow is or interested to know more or want to support me there, you guys can click my Younow link below and join in the community.

NOTE: I WILL BE GOING LIVE ON 25th APRIL 2020 AT 9AM PST.

That's all for this week. Have a nice day/night guys!

FOOD REVIEW (6)

Heyo

How are you guys?

I'm not gonna apologize for not posting for a loooong time because I'm probably gonna do it again. LOL

So this week I'll write about something that I haven't done for a while - which is a food review.

This time I'll be reviewing about a fast food restaurant named Burger Bakar Abang Burn (Brother Burn Grill Burger). This place is actually quite popular here in Malaysia. They are open at several places, you can check them out if you are interested to try it.

The one that I went to was located at Bandar Botanic, Klang. You can see the map below.

Now let's get to the reviews!

There were only 2 meals that I ordered because the portion was big, so I didn't wanna end up wasting any food.

1. Meatball with cheese.

This one is honestly pretty basic. So there's nothing much I could say about it, other than it is good. And that the meat was kinda soft.

2. Full Topping Beef Burger with Aligot Cheese.

For those who don't know what Aligot Cheese is, it is made from cheese blended into mashed potatoes.

Full toppings means other than the beef patty and vegetables (tomatoes, lettuce and onion), there's also turkey slice, beef strip, cheese, fried egg and caramelized onions.

As you can see in the photo above, that's how Full Toppings Beef Burger with Aligot Cheese looks like. It's kinda messy, I know but you wouldn't mind the looks after you have tasted it.

What I can say about the burger is that, the beef was tender and juicy. And the toppings were a good addition to it and the caramelized onions was good too. I'm not a fan of onion or caramelized onion, but at this place, I can enjoy it.

However, the Aligot Cheese is kinda caused you to feel full quickly. Hence, unless you have never try it and wanted to try,  I suggest to not add on the cheese to your burger.

Luckily the sauce and the caramelized onions, together with crispy beef strip, helps to not make me feel full.

But overall I would say the burger was great. And I would like to go there again. 😊

That's all I got for you guys this week. Sorry that the review was pretty short but honestly there's nothing much I could talk about the food here because it's tasty.

So, I hope you guys enjoy my short review. LOL.  And if guy have any suggestion for a different food from a different place that you guys would like me to try, please leave it in the comment section below.

HOW TO FALL.....ASLEEP

Hi guys!

It's me again...after a month.....kinda.

So this week I'll sharing tips that I'm sure a lot of people wanted to know about because they are struggling with it everyday. Including myself.

Difficulty to fall asleep. This has happened too many times and it ended up making us feeling unhealthy and not fresh to start our day.

Don't lie and say that you're not facing with this issue. LOL

Anyways, without wasting any time and my energy for typing, let's begin with the tips.

How To Fall Asleep:

1. Avoid Naps

Naps during the daytime can disrupt your sleeping pattern especially those that is longer than 2 hours and/or close to evening time.

Try to avoid taking long naps or taking naps that are close to the evening. Even though it might be difficult (trust me, I know) but this kind of naps will be the cause for you to not get a sleep at night.

2. Stick To Sleeping Schedule

Related to the first tip, try to make a sleeping schedule and follow it even on weekends. This will help to regulate your body with the time and you can have a good night sleep.

3. Avoid Alcohol & Heavy Meal

This is also true for me. I mean not the alcohol part, I don't drink alcohol 😇. I mean regarding the heavy meal in the evening.

Having a heavy meal (and apparently alcohol too)  a few hours before you sleep can cause discomfort from indigestion. Hence it will disrupt your sleeping pattern/schedule.

4. Listen To Music

This may not work for everyone but for some people (including myself)  listening to music can calm them down and help them to fall asleep easier.

5. Exercise During The Day

The term exercise here doesn't necessarily you go to the gym and workout. Just by doing some chores and heavy work, can increase the duration and quality of your sleep.

But

It is better to exercise early in the morning compare to working out later in the day.

6. Get Comfortable

Try to find a comfortable sleeping position. It is said to be essential to be in position that you are comfortable with.

Or as someone once said, just imagine how comfy your pillow is. It could also be a big help in making you fall asleep 😀

7. Avoid Using Your Mobile.

I know this seems like an opposite thing comparing to tips #4 but what it means by saying avoid using your mobile is that you should not be scrolling (and judging) through your social medias.

Though a lot of people might not agree with this but there was a study that shows people who are addicted to texting or being on social medias, tend to have a lower sleep quality.

8. Switch Off Lights

Keeping your room as dark as possible when going to bed might help bring on sleep. This will be kind of an indication to your body telling it that it is night time.

9. Practice Journaling

Sometimes we tend to think about things and it causes us to stay awake (I can relate to this, big time. LOL) . This could also lead to anxiety and stress.

Research has shown that writing on your journal and focusing on positive thoughts can calm your mind and help you sleep better.

Which lead us to the next tip.

10. Visualize Things That Makes You Happy

It is believe that if you visualize a place or a moment that makes you feel happy and calm, instead of negative thoughts, it will help you from staying up at night.

11. Limit Caffeine

This one is kinda sorta related to tip #3. Caffeine can disrupt your sleeping and sleeping pattern. Though the effect of it may be different to certain people, it is better to not take any caffeine 6 hours before your bedtime.

Caffeine is not only found on coffee but also in chocolate, sodas and energy drinks.

Instead of drinking coffee, try switch it up to tea. It is said that chamomile tea can help you sleep.

12. Read A Book

Reading a book can be relaxing and may distract you from anxious thoughts which can lead to you ended up not sleeping.

However, try not to read a book that can cause strong emotional responses. And for some people, if they find the story is interesting, they might end up reading the whole book in 1 night.

13. Taking A Hot Bath Or Shower

Taking a bath or shower can be relaxing and help prepare the body for sleep.

14. Try Sleep-Enhancing Supplements

Honestly, I don't really recommend this because for some people they might ended addicted to it. I might be wrong but there's always for that possibility.

But if all of the above tips doesn't help, maybe with supplements, it could help you fall asleep and get enough sleep.

15. Speak To Professionals

If you still having trouble sleeping, don't be afraid to talk with your doctor or to seek a professional to help with your sleep deprivation.

So that's all I got for you all this week. I hope this tips help you with your sleeping problems.

Let me know if you have other tips that I might have missed out. And if you like another tip blog post, feel free to let me know.
