WHAT REALLY HAPPENED LAST WEEK

Hey guys!

Please don’t freak out when you read the title. Don’t worry, I’m alright, I’m not physically hurt or something.

Initially I wanted to share about what happened last week as my last week’s post but decided to do the ‘A Letter to My Future Child(ren)’ instead because I don’t want to think about what happened and just enjoy my weekend.

But then I feel like I should share it this week because some of you might want to know why I was all serious and quite most of the time last week and at the beginning of this week.

So, as usual, I will not go details about it.

Typical me.

Let me start by telling you how I felt at the beginning of last week. I found out something a few days before, so I was feeling pissed off a bit. And then it was added with me arguing with one of my sister. And of course, the next day I had to go to work and which resulting with me feeling more depress.

I texted A and S about how I feel regarding my job and I feel like I don’t have a heart on it anymore, which I still am. And a few hours later, I found out that I have somehow screwed up big time (job related).

To be honest, I felt like jumping off a building or something. It was so much worse than calling my boss a booger.

So since that, I was kinda loose my focus on everything. I can’t think of anything else. But I didn’t tell my family or anyone because first, it’s my problem and second, I don’t want them to be too worry about me.

But then, at one point last week, I felt like I really wanna talk to someone, but apparently I was broke and both A and S were busy. So I had to kept it to myself and just try not to do anything stupid.

And guys, don’t worry, I didn’t. As most of you might already know that I’m still alive, otherwise how could I have post this, right?

Unless, if I’m a ghost.

*Playing spooky soundtrack at the back*

Just kidding.

Come on you guys, you know me, I always find a way to be happy or suppressed it down in my soul. And I am feeling better right now, though I’m not sure it was because of what my boss said or that I somehow managed to find things that made me happy. And I finally got to let it out by talking to A this week.

So yeah, that’s basically what happened last week, though the thing that I screwed up is still not yet solved but let’s hope it will soon.

But yeah, that’s all I got for you this week. Sorry that you had to read my boring post this week. I promise I will post something more fun next week.

A LETTER TO MY FUTURE CHILD(REN)

Hey guys! What’s up?!

So this week I’m doing something a little bit different. I actually saw this being done by Youtubers but of course their title is ‘A video for my future children’. But then I thought why not I do the same but instead of a video, I do a letter.

To be honest, I’m not very good at writing a letter; I’m more of a text message person. Anyway, I’ll think I give it a shot and we’ll see how it goes. Hopefully it goes well and not too sad or too serious or worse, too cheesy, that I’ll throw up on my laptop.

Anyway, here we go.

Dear kid/kids,

I am your father....

Wait. Suddenly I feel like Darth Vader, though that wasn’t exactly the words he said, but whatever.

I wonder if my child/children know who Darth Vader is. I hope they do.

Let’s begin again.

Dear kid/kids,

It’s your dad, age 25 years old. You can see my photo at the bottom of this post. Please don’t judge the way I look, if you are a judgemental person, which I hope you aren’t.

I don’t know what’s my age by the time you’re reading this but let’s hope I’m still alive and healthy. And for God sake, please tell me I’m not bald. Don’t you dare laugh at me if I do or go to your room right now.

Where is your mom? Is she reading this too? I hope she is and she’s also as healthy as I am.

To be honest, there are a lot of things I wanted to know.

I wonder how many of you. Stop me at anytime, 1? 2? 3? 4? 5? O.o

Okay, I’m gonna stop myself.

What’s your age? What gender? Are you nice or horrible like any other kids I know? I hope you’re nice or go to your room right now.

Mentioning that, I wonder what kind of father I am. Am I strict? I hope I’m strict but fair. J

Anyway kid/kids, as you can see, your dad has a blog. Yup, he was a blogger. I’m pretty sure your mom already knew it. She might even be the one who shows you this.

Honey, we’ll talk later.

You might not realize but I wrote ‘was a blogger’ because good God, I hope I’m not still writing a blog like this at the age of 40-ish. It’ll be depressing.

I wonder when your birthday is. Are you a Gemini like me? How do you look like? Are your characteristics more like me or your mom? If you’re more like me, then I should tell you that it’s okay to not have friends in school because not having friends doesn’t mean you’re lonely or a loser. It means you’re a survivor and independent. Just ignore what other people said.

Mentioning school, have you done your homework? If you haven’t, go to your room and finish it and then you continue reading this.

Relating to that, I wonder what class you’re in. What are your tests, exams, quizzes results are? If you have worked hard but you only got A- or B, it’s okay. You can do better next time. But make sure you have worked hard because if you’re not, then go to your room, you’re grounded.

I also wonder how technology is in the future. Do we finally have a flying car? Do we still need battery or charger?

Okay now I’m off the topic.

Alright, to end this letter, I just wanna say, though I don’t know you now but I’m sure you’re a great kid. And I have a few advises that I wanna share.

1)      It’s okay to be different than everyone else. As long as it’s not a bad thing or will lead to a bad thing morally or religiously. Just be yourself, don’t try to be someone you’re not because the person you are is the best you can be.

2)      If you have passion or dream, then you hold on to it and work as hard as you can to achieve it. You might be rejected or feel like it’s a waste of time but believe me it’s not. It’s worth it and you have no idea how happy you’ll be when you finally achieve it.

That’s all the advice I can give right now. I know I might have given you more advices throughout your life and I sure there’s more coming in the future. So I’m saving it for that.

And finally, even though I don’t know you at the time I’m writing this but I know I’ll love you, though I might not show it or not say it often but just know that I do.

MOVIE REVIEW (13)

Hey guys! It’s me!

I was planning to post last week but I was caught up with cooking for my family the whole day, I didn’t have time to post anything. You can go to my Instagram @zacrin to see the meals I cooked for my family  *wink*

So this week I’m going to review about a movie that I watch 2 weeks ago. That is ‘Power Rangers’!.

*Playing Power Rangers theme song*

I watched this movie with K. Okay don’t judge me, it was not entirely my idea, she came out with the same thing too.

So okay, back to the topic.

Some of you might not know that I’m a big Power Rangers fan. When I was kid I have a, well in 1990s we don’t have CDs yet, so it’s a cassette or tape, I don’t know what you call it, of the first Power Rangers movie and I watched it like zillion of times. And I even watched the series like every episode.

The reason I’m telling you this, so that you can understand that my review might be a bit bias or maybe too judgemental.

So, here we go!

Well since I’m a fan of Power Rangers, of course I have a certain expectations for this movie. And definitely I expected it to be good but then it turned out to be different, the movie, to be honest, was great. Though I don’t know most of the cast but they were pretty good actors. They were natural and not too stiff.

The storyline and the plot twist were slightly expected but it’s still good. It’s different from the original and not mention that the effect and CGI were so much better, thanks to technology!

But what I really want to talk about is the score, it soooooo awesome! I really love it. Brian Tyler has done a great job.

But of course, the supporting casts were also great. Elizabeth Banks is such a great villain and Brian Cranston is, well, Brian Cranston...haha..

So, that all I can review about the movie, I can’t really share much about the movie, though it’s been in the cinema for weeks now.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading my short review of ‘Power Rangers’ and I hope somehow I didn’t spoil anything for you guys.

I AM UNSURPRISEABLE

Hey guys!

What’s up?

So this week I’ll be sharing a little bit about myself (besides the other big portion of my life and my everyday activities that I have shared on My Diary series).

But before that, I just wanna let you guys know that in about 2 months I’ll be a quarter of a century old.

OMG!

I’m old!

Though some people think I’m 19.....hehe...

But the truth is I’m not supposed to be worry about being old because my current daily routine is already like an 80 year old man’s life.

Seriously, I sleep early at night and wake up early in the morning. I go to work from 9 am to 6pm, 5 days a week. And on the weekend I mostly just stay at home.

I’m an old person.

Anyway, back to the topic.

I’m not trying to brag or anything but I am not easily surprise. Unless if I’m in my deep thoughts that worth a million ringgit, then yes, I can be surprise by your ‘boo’ and probably by your stinky breathe too.

But other than that, people will have problems to surprise me because I always somehow know what’s going to happen or where it will happen.

For example, last year my sisters tried to surprise me on my birthday but I wasn’t really surprise because of 3 reasons:-

1)      It was late at night and I was kinda sleepy.

2)      One of my sisters had “accidentally” spilled the plan to me.

3)      I don’t know what the 3^rd reason is but let’s pretend there is.

So my sister was kinda disappointed about it and they were expecting me to maybe just pretend to be surprise, but honestly, I’m not very good at that. I can try but it might look obviously unreal.

I’m not very good at pretend to be surprise, okay?

So yeah, that’s 1 more fact about me. However, I’m willing to accept any more birthday surprises in the future. *showing my teeth*

But I should tell you guys that even though I’m not easily surprise, I like to scare my sister whenever they come out of the bathroom or going down the stairs. It’s kinda my hobby.

I have a weird hobby, so sue me.

On the other hand, don’t sue me because I’m broke.

So that’s 1 more additional fact about me.

OH, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Hey guys! How are you?

I didn’t post anything last week, sorry about that, because I was so busy and this week too actually but I’ll do those stuff later.

So I did get a bunch of suggestions, some are about tips, like life tips, travel tips and relationship/dating tips, and some ask me opinion about Donald Trump and I replied to her by saying “You’re fired!”...haha....and also some suggested me to talk about the Equinox, all I could say is, God, it’s hot out here.

But what I decided to talk about, which some of you suggested, is about Beauty and The Beast. This is not a movie review because I haven’t seen it and probably won’t be able to, but it’s about the topic that’s been on the internet. I’m not sure if this topic is worldwide or it’s just here in Malaysia, and if it’s not worldwide and you have no idea what I’m talking about, just bare with me.

Some of you might already know that the new Beauty and The Beast movie will probably not be showing in cinemas in Malaysia because of the gay-related issue. I’m not 100% sure on whether it was a scene that shows that a couple of the characters are gay or was it in a song because there a lot of uncertain information regarding this. In conclusion, there is a gay character in the new Beauty and The Beast movie.

Actually it’s not just Malaysia, there’s another country or state in US that banned the movie, if I’m not mistaken. I read it on the online news last week and that’s the time I found out about this issue.

Some people feels like Malaysia shouldn’t make this as an issue and just approve it, but some feels that Walt Disney shouldn’t have create a gay character because it’s not necessary and since it’s a fairytale and children will watch it. And they should just cut the scene for the sake of those countries that disapproved the gay scene.

Anyway, I’m not gonna pick any side and I’m not saying this to play safe but that’s just who I am, I don’t like picking side unless I know that the 1 side is wrong because I have tried pick a side and it backfired me. And I also believe that both sides have their own reason for what they do or did.

So here’s my opinion on this matter.

What my country did, the review and the request for cutting out the gay scene are unfair for those LGBTQ+ community. It shows as if Malaysia doesn’t accept the fact that there are a lot of LGBT community out there. Which is wrong, we are aware of the existence.

In other hand, the reason why Malaysia’s government decided to do that is because Malaysia is a Muslim country, though a lot of people said that we don’t practice Islam and that a lot of other religion is also a Malaysian and that some gays are also Muslim. Maybe it is true, but that doesn’t mean the government has to change our label to being a Non-Muslim country.

What Walt Disney did, creating a gay character, for me, I agree with some people opinion, that it is not really necessary. Why not just keep the sexuality of the characters the same as the original? The old characters have no flaws, so why change? And why not just cut the scene for those countries who oppose?

At the same time, I understand why Walt Disney did it. They wanted to show that LGBT exist and that they don’t always live in a sitcom or drama, their live involve around action movie or horror and even fairytale. Yes kids will watch fairytale and they will be curious to know more but we have to expose to them anyway and Walt Disney feels like the best way is through this medium.

And regarding the not cutting the scene, I think they feel like those countries need to accept the LGBTQ+ community and that they might even live in that country. If Walt Disney agree to cut the scene, it seems like they are not determine on what they believe in.

So yeah, this is what my opinion is about the issue.

And I just realize how serious I am today.
