Hey guys!
How are you guys?
I'm good. Thank you for asking.
I realized that you guys really like my
food review posts because they were the most viewed post since last
year.
So, this week I'm gonna do another food
review. And this time, I'll be reviewing about Thai food.
This restaurant is called Mr.Tuk Tuk.
I'm not sure where else have this restaurant but the one I went was
in Sunway Pyramid (by this time you might think I like going to
Sunway Pyramid...LOL).
Anyway, the decoration and the
environment of the restaurant was okay for me (I'm not an interior
designer, so my opinion might be wrong). And the service was also
good. But I heard that when in peak hours, the place will be full.
Fortunate for me, it wasn't full when I went the other day.
Let's talk about the food now, because
this is a food review post..haha.
We (me and Syaffiq) ordered a few meal
because we were starving at that time.
1. SM2 (This is the name of the set.
It's not the name of Shawn Mendes' album...LOL)
Basically in this set it has a grilled
chicken wrapped with Pandan leaf (if you don't know what is it, Google it), crispy fish fillet with Thai sauce, Thai Manggo salad and rice
The chicken was good. It was marinated
with some special sauce (I think) that makes it delicious. The fish
fillet was also good because the sauce on top of it is slightly
sour, so the taste blends together with the rice. And the manggo salad is okay but nothing really special about it. I expect it to
be maybe slightly spicy, though yes, normally it is not spicy but I
thought they'll make it different. Just saying. LOL
2. Shrimp Pancake.
To be honest, I didn't expect it to be
like this...haha, but not in a bad way because when it says pancake, I assumed it to be like mashed shrimp with flour and then cooked in a pan. Anyway, it's still good. You can really taste the shrimp. Even though it comes with its shell, but since it is deep fried for quite long, so it is crispy and you can eat it with the shell. But my tips, eat it with the Thai sauce because it can be queasy (I'm not sure if this is the right word...haha) after a few bites.
3. Seafood Tom Yam (of
course).
I would definitely buy a Tom Yam whenever I go to a Thai
restaurant. Honestly, there isn't much I can say about it because for me, it's so good! You can taste the sourness, the spicyness and a slight of saltiness (again, I don't if this is the correct word...haha). The seafood was fresh, especially the prawn.
So, that's all I got for you guys this week. I hope you enjoy reading my reviews and maybe it'll give you an idea for your dinner plan.
Let me know what other restaurant or type of food you want me to try next and give a review.
